New Patient Registrationregistration

Do you need to see a doctor and you live in the Hexham area? We have an open list and welcome requests for registration from patients living in or moving to the practice area.  You can download the current practice brochure, but the information can also be found on this website.

Our practice area extends to Chollerton to the north, Corbridge to the east, Blanchland to the south and Haydon Bridge to the west.  The map below is an approximate guide to our area.  Further details area available from our Practice Manager.

You can register by bringing along your NHS medical card or completing a form available from reception. The forms are available to download from this website.  Please look under the pre-registration tab at the top of this page for new patients.  Under some circumstances we may need to ask you to prove your eligibility to receive NHS services and to do this you will need to provide a recent utility bill plus a valid UK passport,  proof of asylum seeker status, work permit or other proof  of your right to live in the UK, as appropriate.

Although for technical reasons you will be registered with a particular doctor, your registration is held with the Practice, rather than an allocated GP.  This means you are free to book appointments with any of our Doctors.  However for continuity of care we would always encourage patients to see the same Doctor, wherever possible, for the duration of an illness.

We recommend that new patients undertake a health check with one of our Practice Nurses.   Please contact reception to make an appointment.  If you are on repeat medication you will also need to make an appointment with a GP so that we can arrange prescriptions for you.

We have a dedicated team of GP's, Practice Nurses, Receptionists and Admin staff.  They work closely with Community staff, District Nurses, Health Visitors, Midwife, Dietician, Counsellors and with Secondary Care staff in hospitals to provide you with the best possible co-ordinated health care.

We offer a full general practice service with dedicated clinics run by specialist clinicians.  We are proud of our achievements in recent years in the governments performance rating for GP practice but will continually work towards improving the service we offer.  We aim to provide a personal, courteous, effective and efficient service to all our patients.
